Glen Cove, NY - Vaughn College's tennis team went up against Webb Institute in a tough match on Sunday, October 27. Despite being short-handed due to injuries, the Phoenix squad demonstrated grit and determination on the court.
In doubles play, the team faced early challenges, with all pairs losing their matches.
During the singles matches, Carlos Castillo, Jean De La Rosa and Valentino Mcleod fought valiantly but all fell in their matches 10-2. Willian Wu encountered a tough opponent and ended his match at 10-0, while Leah Loor and Jazmine Mares were also unable to secure any games, finishing their matches at 10-0.
Despite the final score of 9-0, the Phoenix displayed resilience throughout the match. The team is focused on regrouping in the spring semester and learning from this experience as they prepare for their upcoming challenges.
