Warriors Battle The Blue Angels

On Thursday, October 6, the women's tennis team battled the College of New Rochelle (CNR) in their second match of the season. The young and inexperienced Warriors team competed in six singles matches and three doubles matches. Vaughn College fell to the Blue Angels 7-2. 

Freshman Omomhene Eimunjeze (New York, NY)  was very impressive in her singles and doubles matches against the Blue Angles. Eimunjeze's play helped earned two points for the Warriors. First she defeated her number six singles opponent 10-6. Then she teammed up with teammate Cheres Castaneda (Brooklyn, NY) in the number three doubles position. They defeated their opponents in a thrilling fashsion, winning their match 8-7. 

The women's tennis team will return to action on Saturday, October 8, in a conference match-up against the Cannoneers of Pratt Institute.
