Warriors Battle Berkeley College (NY)

QUEENS, N.Y. - The Vaughn College women's tennis team faced Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) opponent Berkeley College (NY) at the United States Tennis Association Center (USTA) on Thursday, October 8. This was the Warriors first conference match of the season. The women's tennis team competed extremely hard throughout the match but could not tally up enough points to secure singles sets or doubles sets victories. 

The Warriors were lead by sophomore Emily German (Baldwin, LI). She teammed up with Maia Rivers (Dix Hills, NY) to compete in the number one doubles position. The two Warriors would earn two points in the match, but would drop the set by a final score of 8-2. German would use the defeat to fuel her during her number three singles match. Unfortunately, after a hard fought back and forth game, German would drop her singles match by a final score of 10-7. 

The women's tennis team will be back in action on Saturday, October 10, against the State University of New York (SUNY) Delhi Broncos.
