Warriors Face St. Joseph College Bears

QUEENS, N.Y. - The women's tennis team opened up the season against the St. Joseph College Bears on Tuesday, September 23. The tennis match was played at a neutral site, York College. The women's tennis team played well against the Bears but failed to tally any points in the match. The Warriors leaned on the experience of sophomore Maia Rivers (Dix Hills, NY) and senior Lacy Dickinson (Newmarket, NH). Unfortunately both players had difficulties finding a consistent rhythm. 

The Warriors dropped their season opener to the Bears 5-0. The women's tennis team will look to bounce back when they take on NCAA Division III opponent Albertus Magnus College on Saturday, September 26. The match will be played at the United States Tennis Association (USTA) Center, starting at 4:00 p.m.
