CORONA, N.Y. - The Vaughn College women's basketball team hosted the Webb Institute Webbies at Elmcor Recreation Center on Tuesday, November 15. The Lady Warriors got out to a fast start and held a huge advantage over the Webbies at the end of the first quarter. They expanded their lead to 21 points at the half.

The Lady Warriors put the game far out of reach in the third quarter and toppled the Webbies. Everyone contributed to the win to keep the Lady Warriors perfect on the season (2-0).

Eliyah Howard (Texarkana, TX) led the way with 33 points, seven rebounds, five assists and six steals. Tehilyah Murray (Rochester, NY) finished the game with a near triple-double. Murray had 25 points, eight rebounds, nine assists, five steals and six blocks. Kate Savannah Ospina (West Babylon, NY)  added eight points. Jeniffer Guardia (East Elmhurst, NY) chipped in two points and grabbed six rebounds. 

The Lady Warriors will be back in action on Friday, November 18. They will host New School for their Homecoming game.
