Lady Warriors Travel to Fisher College

On Thursday, December 1, the Vaughn College women's basketball team traveled to Lynn, Massachussetts to take on the Fisher College Falcons. The Lady Warriors got off to a hot start and took an early lead in the game. The Falcons would respond scoring 31 points in the second quarter to take complete control of the game. The Lady Warriors competed well in the high energy  fast-paced game, but would eventually go on to lose to the Fisher College Falcons. 

Junior captain Maia Rivers (Dix Hills, NY) led the way for Vaughn College. Rivers kept the Warriors competative in the game with 18 points, six rebounds. four assists and a game high six steals. Freshman guard Nicole White (St. Pauls, NC) chipped in 11points, pulled down four rebounds and dished out three assists. Gabrielle Robinson (New York, NY)  added seven points and six rebounds for the Lady Warriors. 

The women's basketball team record drops 0-3 on the season. They will be back in action on Monday, December 5, against NCAA division III opponent Centenary University (NJ).
