Milton, NY - The Vaughn Phoenix cross country team continued to showcase their determination at the recent Mount Saint Mary Invitational, held on October 13. Competing against a strong field of runners, the team demonstrated impressive resilience throughout the 8K race.
Freshman Demetrius Carty once again stood out for Vaughn, finishing in 13th place with a time of 33:50.9, a personal best that reflects his steady pace of 6:48 per mile. His strong performance highlights his growing strength and potential as a key runner for the Phoenix this season.
Teammate Angel Tejada also made his mark, completing the race in 57:08.5 with a pace of 11:29 per mile. Though he faced challenges during the race, Angel's commitment to pushing through adversity exemplifies the spirit of the Vaughn team.
