The Vaughn Warriors cross country team competed at the Highlander Invitational on Saturday, October 5. The Highlander Invitational was hosted by New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) at Branch Brook Park. Over 270 runners from 31 schools competed in the 8k (5 mile) event. The Warriors had three runners finish the treacherous 8k outdoor course. 

Freshman Kenneth Neblett (St. Albans, NY) was the first runner to cross the finishline for the Warriors. Neblett completed the race in 36:55 with a 7:25 mile pace. Freshman teammate Kadeem Alexander (Brooklyn, NY) finished the 8k course in 38:51 with a 7:49 mile pace. Randy Ramos (Bronx, NY) completed the race not far behind Alexander with a time of 39:05 and a 7:51 mile pace.
