Phoenix Battle Mercer College in Season Opener
Vaughn College's men's tennis team launched their season with a competitive match against NJCAA member Mercer College on Saturday, April 6. The Phoenix squad, led by Tommaso Rossi and Carlos Castillo in the 1 doubles, and Justin Bustamante paired with Noah Galluzzo in the 2 doubles, showed strong determination from the onset.
Noah Galluzzo delivered a standout performance in the singles matches, securing a convincing (6-0, 6-2) victory over his opponent, showcasing his prowess on the court.
Despite their efforts, the Phoenix men's tennis team ultimately fell short to Mercer College with a final score of 5-1. The team displayed resilience throughout the match, highlighting their potential for the season ahead.
