The Vaughn College men's soccer team hosted the Word of Life Bible Huskies on Wednesday, October 9. The Warriors were only able to dress 14 players for the non-conference match. There were five starters that were unable to compete for the Warriors against the Huskies due to class conflicts and midterm exams.
The Warriors struggled with chemistry in the first half as many of the players available for the match have not played on the field together at the same time. Consequently the men's soccer team conceded three goals in the first half to the Huskies with the final goal coming right as time expired in the 45th minute.
The Warriors only had five shots in the game and four shots on goal. Albert Forero (New Rochelle, NY) scored the lone goal for the Warriors in the match on a penalty kick. The 3-1 loss drops the Warriors record to 2-4 overall. The men's soccer team will return to action on Saturday, October 12, against Cooper Union.
