Sloppy Play From The Warriors Results In Huge Conference Loss

The Warriors' men's soccer team squared off against the Berkeley College (NY) Knights on Wednesday, October 2. This was the third consecutive Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) opponent that the Warriors have faced in the past two weeks. The Warriors entered the HVIAC match 1-1 in conference play while the Berkeley Knights entered the match with a perfect 2-0 record in the HVIAC.

The Warriors started off extremely sluggish against the Knights on both sides of the ball. Once again the men's soccer team conceded an early goal against their opponent. In the Warriors' previous matches they were able to settle down and control the pace of play as the game progressed. Unfortunately the Warriors would give up four first half goals to the Knights putting the game out of reach. The second half would not get better for the Warriors. Missed scoring opportunities and sloppy play frustrated the young Warriors men's soccer team. They would go on to suffer a 6-0 loss to the Knights. This was the first game the Warriors have failed to score a goal this season.

The Warriors will take the field again on Saturday, October 5, at Randall's Island field 72. They will face non-conference opponent Pratt Institute. The match is scheduled to start at 4 p.m.
