Phoenix Tough Start Continue

QUEENS, N.Y. - The Vaughn College Phoenix men's basketball team have dropped their first three games of the 2023-24 season. On Friday, November 10, the Phoenix suffered their worse defeat in point margin to the Berkeley College Knights (NY). Despite the early season struggles,  there have been bright spots and performances from returning players, Ean Chambers (Ewing Township, NJ), Geremy Urena (Bronx,NY) and Joshua Waithe (Mount Vernon, NY) thus far.

Waithe scored a team-high 14 points, paired with five rebounds and two assists against the Knights. Urena finished in double-figures for the second time this season with 11 points. Omar Brown (New York, NY) added seven points, five rebounds and 1 assist.

The Phoenix will have a couple of weeks off to recharge and regroup before their next contest. They will be back in action on Friday, December 1, against Webb Institute.
