CORONA, N.Y. - On Monday, February 20, the Vaughn College Warriors men's basketball hosted the New School Narwhals on senior night. The Warriors had two seniors that were honored before the game. Senior forward Michael Reed (Freeport, NY) has played four seasons for the Warriors and has been a captain since his junior year. Reed has been a huge staple for the Warriors success on the court and in the classroom. Senior forward Giancarlos Rodgriguez (Queens, NY) has been a member of the men's basketball team for the past two seasons. Rodgriguez's commitment and work ethic has been phenomenal and exemplary for his teammates and coaches. 

The Warriors struggled to find a rhythm offensively early in the game. At halftime the Warriors  trailed the Narwhals 31-23. "We were flat to start the game and we weren't able to get anything going in the first half. My message to the team was to fight one last time. Give it everything you have one more time. We owe it to our fans and supporters. We owe it to our seniors." Head Coach Jihad Ceaser.

Michael Reed came out in the second half and gave the Warriors much needed offense. Reed hit huge shots when the team needed them the most. He finished the game shooting 48% (5-11) from the three-point line. The Warriors outscored the Narwhals 45-33 in the second half. 

Everyone contributed to the comeback effort over the Narwhals. Reed scored a game-high 23 points, grabbed six rebounds and had two assists. Geremy Urena poured in 15 points and was credited with three steals. Cederic Green (Brooklyn, NY) registered nine points, three assists and two blocks. Salman Benzaid (Bronx, NY) added seven points and grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds. Joshua Waithe (Brooklyn, NY) and Ean Chambers (Ewing Township, NJ) chipped in six points apiece. Rodgriguez finished with two points, and one assist.

The Warriors would complete the comeback and defeat the Narwhals by a final score of 68-64.
