CORONA, N.Y. - On Saturday, December 17, the Vaughn College men's basketball team hosted the Word Of Life Bible (WOL) Huskies at Elmcor Recreation Center. The Warriors had an early advantage against their Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) opponent. Unfortuantely, the Warriors were unable to open up their lead on the Huskies and take full control over the game. The Huskies would go on a late run in the first half and held a nine-point advantage over the Warriors at the break. 

The Warriors lack of depth would plague them in the second half. They competed extremely hard but were unable to climb back into the game. DeAnthony Price (Texarcana, TX) carried the Warriors throuhgout the contest. Price finished with 24 points, nine rebounds and three thefts. Joshua Waithe (Brooklyn, NY) recorded his first double-double of the season. Waithe scored 11 points and grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds. 

The Warriors would go on to drop their third game in the HVIAC to the Huskies. This was the final contest of the first semester for the Warriors. They will look to regroup and get healthy over the winter break.
