Warriors Pick Up Huge Conference Win; Beandre Wafer Records Monster Double-Double

CLINTON HILL, N.Y. - The Vaughn College Warriors traveled to the Hill Center to take on the King's College Lions on Sunday, December 11. The Warriors entered the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) match-up coming off an emotional loss to Paul Smith's College in their previous contest. 

The Warriors were focused and engaged from the opening minutes of the game. They were extremely locked in on the defensive side of the ball. They held the Lions to 20 points in the first half. The Warriors continued their defensive dominance in the second half. They controlled the glass, out-rebounding the Lions 61-20. 

Four Warriors scored in double-figures enroute to a huge conference win. Beandre Wafer (Texarkana, TX) led the way with a monster double-double. Wafer had 19 points and pulled down a career-high 25 rebounds. Cedric Green (Brooklyn, NY) continued his solid play. He finished with 16 points and six rebounds. DeAnthony Price (Texarkana, TX) added 16 points and eight rebounds. Joshua Waithe (Brooklyn, NY) chipped 10 points and nine rebounds. 

The win improves the Warriors record to 5-8. They will face Berkeley College (NY) on Tuesday, December 13 at City College of New York (CCNY).
