The Vaughn College Warriors men's basketball team defeated Webb Institute in their season opener on Thursday, November 7. The Warriors hosted Webb Institute at Elmcor Recreation Center in Queens, NY. The Warriors jumped all over Webb Institute at the beginning of the game enroute to a decisive victory.

Freshman guard Marcus Heron (Yonkers, NY) led the Warriors in scoring. Heron finished with a game-high 23 points on 9-15 (60%) shooting from the field. Kemarlie Mclean (Brooklyn, NY) added 12 points. Michael Reed chipped in eight points and grabbed seven rebounds. Brandon Marte (Bronx, NY) tallied seven points and pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds. 

The Warriors will travel to Massachusetts for a pair of games this weekend. On Saturday, November 9, the men will face Bristol Community College. On Sunday, November 10, they will battle Bunker Hill Community College.
