Warriors host Knights for Two Game Series

Warriors host Knights for Two Game Series

The Vaughn College Warriors' baseball team hosted the Central Penn Knights for a two-game series on Thursday, April 13 and Friday, April 14. The Warriors dropped both games to the Knights over the two-day period.

The Warriors struggled to generate any offense in the first game of the two-game series. Vaughn College registered three hits in game one. Sophomore Justin Rollins (Bronx, NY) recorded two hits against the Knights in his only two plate appearances. Captain Jonathan Hernandez (Wantagh, NY) had one hit in the Warriors' 11-0 shut out loss againts the Knights.

Unfortunately for the Warriors, Friday's contest against the  Knights was reminiscent of Thursday's game. The Warriors did a decent job fielding the ball but had a hard time scoring runs against the Knights. Vaughn College left four runners on base and would drop the second game of the two-game series by a final score of 13-1.

The Warriors' baseball team will be back on the field on Sunday, April 30, against Yeshiva University. The double-header against Yeshiva University will be at Ridgefield Park, NJ starting at noon.
