PALISADES PARK, N.J. - The men's baseball team suffered two losses to Yeshiva University on Thursday, April 21. The Warriors competed hard in game one, but fell to the Maccabees 11-7. Injuries would plague the Warriors in game two as they fell to the Maccabees 21-4 in five innings.

Kelvin Medina (Bronx, NY) started on the mound for the Warriors in the first game. Medina pitched a complete game, with one walk and four strikeouts. The Warriors had a slow start offensively but their bats came alive in the later innings. Jonathan Hernandez (Wantagh, NY) carried the Warriors offense in the opening game. Hernandez recorded two hits, drove in two runs, and scored one run. Michael Dunn (Centerport, NY) contributed two hits, scored two runs, and drove one run in. Although the Warriors comeback effort fell short in game one, their confidence at the plate grew.

The first inning of game two was extremely difficult for the Warriors, as many players suffered injuries limiting the teams success. The Warriors were forced to use a variety of pitchers to last throught the second game of the double-header. Senior captain Joshua Labiner (Commack, NY) tried to inspire the team with his play in the field and at the plate. Labiner finished the game with one hit, scored two runs, and no errors in the field.
