Lady Warriors Suffer second straight loss

The Vaughn College Lady Warriors lost there second straight game on Saturday, December 17. The women's basketball team faced non-conference opponent Mid-Atlantic Christian. The Lady Warriors were competitive early in the game but saw another halftime deficit expand in the second half. This is the second game in a row that the Lady Warriors struggled to get back into the game after being down big at the the break period.

The Lady Warriors had two players score double-digits in the game. Kayla Bryant (Bronx, NY) finished with a team high 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Maia Rivers (Dix Hills, NY) poured in 12 points to go along with six rebounds, two assists and one steal. Nicole White (St. Pauls, NC) added nine points and six rebounds. Freshman center Monae Bent (Bronx, NY)  had her best rebounding game of the season against Mid-Atlantic Christian. Bent was all over the offensive and defensive glass for the Lady Warriors. She finished with a team high 13 rebounds. 

The loss drops the Lady Warriors' record to 2-6 on the season. They will have one more contest before the winter break against New Jersey College University (NJCU). The Lady Warriors will travel to NJCU on Tuesday, December 20.
