Four Warriors Score Double-Figures in Win against Five Towns College

The Vaughn College women's basketball team defeated Five Towns College on Saturday, December 10. For the second straight game the Lady Warriors did not trail for the entire contest. The Lady Warriors only dressed six players for the game, but they were able to maintain their focus and composure enroute to a blowout victory. The win improves the Lady Warriors' record to 2-4 on the year.

For the first time this season, the Lady Warriors had four people score double-digits in a single game. Kayla Bryant (Bronx, NY) led all scorers with 31 points to go along with nine rebounds. Bryant shot a perfect 15-15 from the field. She became the first female freshman basketball player to score 30 or more points in a game at Vaughn College. Bryant also set a new program record for most field goals made in a game without missing. Backcourt teammate Nicole White (St. Pauls, NC) also had a breakout game. The freshman wing scored a season high 20 points, grabbed a nine rebounds and dished out five assists. Gabrielle Robinson(New York, NY) registered 19 points and eight rebounds. Crystal Ferguson (Queens Village, NY) added 11 points, five rebounds, three assists and one steal. 

The Lady Warriors will travel to Morristown, NJ  on Thursday, December 15, to play NCAA division III opponent College of Saint Elizabeth. The game will tip off at 5:00 p.m.
