The Lady Warriors picked up their first win of the season on Wednesday, December 7. They defeated Sarah Lawrence College 49-45. The Lady Warriors held a 17 point lead at halftime. That lead would evaporate in the second half. The Gryphons of Sarah Lawrence College competed extremely hard to cut the lead to two points late in the second half. The young Lady Warriors' team would regain their composure as they were able to ward off a scrappy Gryphons team. 

Maia Rivers (Dix Hills, NY) led the way for Vaughn College. The junior captain recorded her second double-double of the season. She finished with a team high 14 points and and 11 rebounds. Kayla Bryant (Bronx, NY) registered 13 points and grabbed eight rebounds and had three thefts in the game. Gabrielle Robinson (New York, NY) added 13 points nine rebounds and four steals. 

The women's basketball team improve their record to 1-4 on the season. The Lady Warriors will be back on road on Saturday, December 10 against non-conference opponent Five Towns College.
