QUEENS, N.Y. - The Vaughn College women's basketball team faced Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) opponent Davis College on Wednesday, January 13. For the second game in a row the Lady Warriors were extremely short-handed, dressing only six players. Davis College was too much for the Lady Warriors, and would go on to defeat Vaughn College handedly. 

Maia Rivers (Dix Hills, NY) scored a game high 21 points in the contest. The sophomore guard also pulled down five rebounds, dished out 3 assists, and had three thefts in the game. Courtney Scott (Wellington, FL) added six points and two rebounds. 

The loss drops the Lady Warriors HVIAC record to 1-1. The women's basketball team will return to action on Tuesday, January 19, against non-conference opponent Fisher College.
