QUEENS, N.Y. - The women's basketball team played their final game of the first semester against Mid-Atlantic Christian University (MACU) on Saturday, December 19. The Lady Warriors entered the contest coming off a three game slide, looking to end the semester with a win.

Alexus Butler (Coram, NY) had her second double-double of the season. She finished with 16 points, on 8-14 shooting, and 14 rebounds.  Maia Rivers (Dix Hills, NY) poured in 13 points, grabbed six rebounds, and dished out three assists. Lacyrose Dickinson (Newmarket, NH) added four points and 13 rebounds.

The Lady Warriors kept pace with MACU for the first half, but were unable to sustain their defensive intensity throughout the entire game. MACU would go on to defeat the Lady Warriors, dropping their record to 1-4 on the season. 

The Vaughn College women's basketball team will return to action on January 10, 2016. They will travel to Pennsylvania to take on Penn State Brandywine.
