Lady Warriors Suffer First Loss of the Season

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, P.A. - The women's basketball team suffered their first loss of the season to the Penn State Schuylkill Lions on Thursday, November 19. The Warriors were able to keep pace with Lions for the first two quarters. However a long scoring drought in the third quarter hindered the Warriors chances of coming back in the game. Despite the huge score disparity, the Lady Warriors competed until time expired.

Christina Rivers (Bowie, MD) led the way for the women's basketball team. She finished the game with  a team high 13 points. Maia Rivers (Dix Hills, NY) added 12 points, six rebounds, and four steals. Courtney Scott (Wellington, FL) chipped in seven points on 3-5 shooting from the field.

The Lady Warriors will have time to regroup and retool before their next contest. The women's basketball team will return to action on Thursday, December 3. They will travel to Brooklyn to take on Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) opponent Pratt Institute.
