Freshman standout guard, Maia Rivers (Dix Hills, NY), was nominated for the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) Rookie of the Week. Rivers has started every game this season and has scored double figures in every contest. She received the award after helping the Warriors secure a conference win over HVIAC opponent, Kings College. Rivers poured in 22 points and registered 11 steals, setting a Vaughn College record for most steals recorded in a single game. She now has three double-doubles for the season.
