McLean, Heron and Roche All Score Double-Figures In Final Regular Season Game

The Vaughn College Warriors men's basketball team lost their final game of the 2019-20 season to the Pratt Institute Cannoneers on Tuesday, February 11. The Warriors have had a difficult up-and-down year. Consistency and team continuity plagued the men's basketball team. The Warriors finish the season a .500 record at home and a dismal 1-7 record on the road.

Three Warriors scored in double-figures in the defeat. Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) rookie of the year candidate Marcus Heron (Yonkers, NY) led the team in scoring with 18 points. Heron also had five assists and three steals in the game. HVIAC all-conference guard Kemarlie McLean (Brooklyn, NY) poured in 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds. New Jersey native Louis Roche (Carteret, NJ) added 17 points, three assists and two steals.

The men's basketball team will look to regroup and recruit for the following year. Despite under-performing this season, the future looks bright for the Warriors.
