Men Downed By Five Towns College

The men's basketball team lost their first game of the season to the Five Towns College (FTC) Sound on Wednesday, December 5. The Warriors had a great start to their 2018-19 campaign winning their first three games. However the young Warriors ran into a tough more experienced FTC Sound team that dominated the Warriors on the glass. The Warriors were out-rebounded by the Sound 81-35. The huge rebounding disparity paired with the Warriors shooting a season low 27.7% from the field and 16.7% from the three-point line were key reasons for the loss.

Kemarlie Mclean (Brooklyn, NY) finished the game with a team-high 19 points and pulled down five rebounds. This was Mclean's first game that he has scored under 20 points this season. Rashekem Ausar (Seatlle, WA) filled the boxscore with 14 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals in a losing effort. Michael Reed (Freeport, NY) chipped in 13 points.

The Warriors will look to get back in the win column in their next contest against non-conference opponent ASA College (Manhattan). The two teams are scheduled to play on Thursday, December 13.
