The Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) released their end of the year awards on Sunday, October 21. After another successful season for the Vaughn College Warrior's women's tennis team, head coach Joseph Swierczewski was named the 2018 HVIAC Women's Tennis Coach of the Year. Coach Swierczewski helped lead the Warriors to back-to-back (2017, 2018) HVIAC post-season championship matches. Both in 2017 and in 2018 the Warriors were defeated by power house Pratt Institute in the HVIAC championship match. Pratt has won three out of the last four HVIAC championships. Coach Swierczewski becomes the first coach in Vaughn program history to win Coach of Year for both the men's and women's tennis programs.
