The Vaughn College women's tennis team competed in the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) championship match on Sunday, October 21. They played the number one seed and defending back to back (2016, 2017) conference champions, Pratt Institute, at the United States Tennis Association (USTA) Center. Pratt finished the regular season with a perfect record in the HVIAC and a 10-2 record overall.
The Warriors have had little success over the past few years playing against the Pratt Institute Cannoneers. The women's tennis team competed extremely hard but were outmatched by the Cannoneers skill and experience level. Though the Warriors suffered a tough loss in the HVAIC championship match they took a step closer in their quest to winning their first ever conference championship.
