Warriors Drop Final Regular Season Game At Home

The Vaughn College women's basketball team played their final regular season game at home against United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) division I Bryant and Stratton (Buffalo) on Thursday, February 6. The Warriors had five players available for the non-conference match-up. It was an extremely difficult game for the undermanned Warriors team.

The Warriors trailed the Bobcats by 21 points at the end of the first quarter. Things did not get much better for the Warriors as the game progressed. The Bobcats jumped all over the Warriors enroute to a massive victory.

Alexa Cruz (Pompton Lakes, NJ) scored six points and grabbed five rebounds. Zulieka Briceno (Bronx, NY) added six points, four assists and one steal. Jazmin Garcia (Bronx, NY) chipped in three points to go along with five rebounds and two steals. Angela Wright (East Northport, NY)  finished with two points and five rebounds.

The women will be off for a week to get ready for the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) post-season. They will face the number one seed Berkeley College (NY).
