Rivers End's College Career Selected to Her Third HVIAC All-Conference Team

Senior guard/forward Maia Rivers (Dix Hills, NY) has had an amazing college basketball career. Rivers is a four-year starter and three-year captain of the women's basketball team. She has won many athletic and academic awards and will leave behind an incredible legacy at Vaughn College.

As a freshman Rivers averaged 19 points per game and became the first player in Lady Warriors program history to be named the women's basketball Rookie of the Year by the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC). Rivers was selected to the HVIAC All-Conference Women's Basketball Team her sophomore and junior years. As a senior Rivers helped lead a young unexperienced basketball team through a tough season. She was named to her third consecutive HVIAC All-Conference Women's Basketball Team after the HVIAC championship game on Sunday, February 18.

Rivers ends her basketball career at Vaughn College as the Lady Warriors all-time leading scorer, all-time leader in steals, all-time leader in assists and all-time leader in minutes and games played.
