Women Fall to the College of Saint Elizabeth

The Vaughn College women's basketball team dropped a tough game to the College of Saint Elizabeth on Thursday, January 11. For the second game in a row the Lady Warriors only had five available players. Despite playing with no substitutes, the women's basketball team competed extremely hard. They fell to the Eagles by a final score of 58-38. 

Senior captain Maia Rivers (Dix Hills, NY)  and sophomore Nicole White (St. Pauls, NC) both recorded double-doubles in the defeat. Rivers finished with 10 points and 11 rebounds. White ended the game with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Newcomer Marceisha Howard (Fort Worth, TX) led the team in scoring. Howard poured in 17 points and also had three steals and two assists in the contest. 

The Lady Warriors will play the first game of the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) double-header match-up against Davis College on Saturday, January 13, at home. The game is scheduled to tip off at 2 p.m.
