Lady Warriors Struggles Continue

The Lady Warriors have had a difficult week dealing with the loss to key players out of their line-up. On Thursday, December 7, the women's basketball team hosted the Central Penn Knights for their final game of the first semester. Once again the Lady Warriors only had five players available for the contest without any reserves.

It was a close competitive game in the first two quarters before the the Lady Warriors ran out of steam. The Lady Warriors struggled in the second half to keep the game within reach. The Central Penn Knights expanded their first half lead enroute to another huge loss for the Lady Warriors.

Unlike the previous game, the women's basketball team saw contributions from multiple players. Nicole White (St. Pauls, NC)  scored a team-high 16 points and also recorded three rebounds and four steals. Emily Betances (Queens, NY) had another solid game. She finished with 15 points, eight rebounds, six assists, two steals and two blocks. Courtney Scott (Wellington, FL) added seven points and four rebounds. Grace Tatom (Laurelton, NY) chipped in four points and had a team-high five steals.

The Lady Warriors end their first semester with a 2-3 record. They will have some time off to regroup and get healthy before their next game in early January.
