White Leads the way in Lady Warriors First Win of the Season

The women's basketball team picked up their first win of the season on Tuesday, November 21, against the Five Towns College Sound. The Lady Warriors defeated the Sound in front of their energetic and supportive home crowd for Homecoming.  

Sophomore Nicole White (St. Pauls, NC) had a career night against the Sound. The North Carolina guard/forward scored a career-high 28 points and pulled down a career-high 15 rebounds. This was White's first double-double for the season and only the third for her collegiate career. 

Freshman guard Emily Betances (Queens, NY) had a tough first half against the Sound. Betances found her rhythm in the second half and finished the game with 17 points. Maia Rivers (Dix Hills, NY) ended the game with a double-double. Rivers scored 10 point, grabbed 11 rebounds and had six steals.

The women's basketball team will be back in action on Saturday, December 2, at Sarah Lawrence College.
