Dunlap Sets School Rebounding Record and Earns Rookie of the Week Honors

ASTORIA, N.Y. - Freshmen forward Aiysha Dunlap (Amityville, NY) made her presence felt right from the start in the women's basketball season opener. Dunlap was a stable force in the middle as she single-handedly dominated King's College on the boards. Dunlap pulled down 13 offensive rebounds and 14 defensive rebounds en route to the women's basketball team's first win in program history. Dunlap scored five points, recorded two steals, and had one assist to go along with her school record 30 rebounds. This was the most rebounds recorded in one game for both the men's and women's basketball teams.

Dunlap followed up her record setting performance with a nine points, 17 rebounds game in a tough lose against Cooper Union. In the first two games in her college career, Dunalp grabbed 44 total rebounds helping her earn Rookie of the Week Honors.
