Warriors Compete In NYIT Invitational

The Vaughn College men's cross country team kicked off their 2019-20 season competing in the New York Institute Technology (NYIT) Invitational on Saturday, September 14. The NYIT Invitational featured a smooth 8k course on their campus in Westbury, NY. There were 158 runners from 18 different schools from  the tri-state area that competed in the event.

Sophomore transfer Louis Roche (Carteret, NJ) was the first runner to finish the 8k race for the Warriors with a time of 33:40. Freshman Kadeem Alexander (Brooklyn, NY) finished shortly after Roche with a time of 33:46. Junior Randy Ramos (Bronx, NY) rounded out the top three finishers for the Warriors finishing with a time of 33:59. All five runners for the Warriors completed the race earning Vaughn College 18th place in a pool filled with NCAA division I and NCAA division II teams. 

The next race for the men's cross country team will be the York Invitational on Sunday, September 22.
