The Vaughn College men's tennis team was defeated 9-0 in the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) semi-finals on Sunday, April 23. The fourth seeded Warriors went up against the number one seed and HVIAC regular season champions, Culinary Institute of America (CIA) Steels.
The Steels have been dominant all year against opponents in the HVIAC. The inexperienced Warriors gave their all but were no match for the CIA Steels. Although the Warriors suffered a tough loss, the young men's tennis team gained valuable experience playing against a veteran Steels team in the playoffs. The Steels would go on to become the 2017 HVIAC tournament champions.
