The Warriors faced the number one team in the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC), SUNY ESF, on Sunday, October 8. The Mighty Oaks of SUNY ESF entered the match with a perfect 3-0 record in the HVIAC and a 7-3 record overall.
The men's soccer team has been plagued with injuries all year but have found ways to win games and remain competitive underneath new head coach Tim Serbe. The Warriors had 12 shots on goal throughout the match, but were shut out by the Mighty Oaks. Vaughn College suffered a 4-0 loss to SUNY ESF.
The Warriors will look to regroup and get back in the win column when they face conference rival Berkeley College on Wednesday, October 11. The game is scheduled to be played at 4 p.m. at Randall's Island field 10.
