McLean and Heron's Big Games Not Enough Against Bobcats

The Vaughn College men's basketball team suffered their third loss of the year to the Bryant and Stratton (Syracuse) Bobcats on Friday, November 16. The friday night game was held at Elmcor Recreation Center in front of a packed crowd. The Warriors struggled to find a rhythm offensively and were out-rebounded by the Bobcats the entire game.

Junior captain Kemarlie McLean (Brooklyn, NY) had a complete game for the Warriors. McLean lead all scorers with 25 points and knocked down five triples from distance. He stuffed the box score with five rebounds, had a pair of assists to go along with one steal and one block. Freshman guard Marcus Heron (Yonkers, NY) had another solid performance. Heron registered 20 points, five rebounds and finished with a team-high six assists and six steals.

The Warriors have given up over 100 points in each of their losses this year. They will have a chance to redeem themselves when they host the New School in their second game of a back-to-back on Saturday, November 17, at 2 p.m.
