Four Warriors Score Double-Figures in Tough Conference Loss

The Vaughn College Warriors men's basketball team traveled to SUNY ESF on Sunday, January 13, to face the Mighty Oaks. The Warriors have been victorious over the Mighty Oaks in each of their previous four meetings. Despite four Warriors scoring in double-digits, the Vaughn College men's basketball team was defeated by the SUNY ESF Mighty Oaks for the first time in program history.

Kemarlie Mclean (Brooklyn, NY)  lead the Warriors in scoring with 26 points. Mclean has lead the Warriors in scoring in 6 out of 7 games this season. Kevin Catalino (Bronx, NY) recorded his first double-double of the season and third of his career. He finished with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Marcus Jenkins (Queens, NY) had one of his best games of the season in the loss. Jenkins scored 13 points, dished out seven assists and tallied four thefts. Michael Reed (Freeport, NY) chipped in 12 points. 

The loss drops the Warriors record to 4-3 overall and 1-1 in the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC). The Warriors will host non-conference opponent ASA College (Manhattan) on Friday, January 18.
