Unbelievable Finish Gives Warriors a 1-Point Victory Over Touro College

The Warriors men's basketball team improved their record to 2-0 after defeating non-conference opponent Touro College 75-74 on Tuesday, November 27. The Warriors trailed Touro College by one point with four seconds remaining in the game. Fortunately for the Warriors, Touro College in-bounded the ball but scored on the wrong basket to give the Warriors a one point lead with two seconds remaining in the game. Touro College tried to throw the basketball the length of the court to attempt a game-winning shot but the ball was stolen at half-court as time expired.

This was the first time that the Warriors won a basketball game trailing with less than five seconds left to go in a contest without having any offensive possesions. Kemarlie Mclean (Brooklyn, NY) scored a career-high 36 points, grabbed five rebounds and registered six thefts in the triumph. Michael Reed (Freeport, NY) recorded his first career double-double. Reed finished with 14 points and a team-high 10 rebounds. Marcus Jenkins (Jamaica, NY) added 11 points, eight rebounds and three assists.

The Warriors will look to remain perfect when they take on New England Baptist on Monday, December 3. The game will be played at New England Baptist starting at 7 p.m.
