Colome Drops Career-High 38 Points In Warriors' Fifth Conference Win

The Vaughn College men's basketball team defeated The Kings College on Wednesday, February 7, at home. The Warriors entered the game coming off a tough loss in overtime in their previous contest against New England Baptist College. The win improves the Warriors' record in the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) to 5-1.

Junior shooting guard Joshua Colome (Bronx, NY) had another monster game for the Warriors. Colome scored a career-high 34 points in the loss to New England Baptist College. He responded with a 38-point outburst in the win over The Kings College. Colome is the second Warrior to have back-to-back 30 point games this season. His 38 points was two points shy of the men's program record set last season by USCAA All-American Michael Pena.

The Warriors also had two players record double-doubles in the conference win. Kevin Catalino (Bronx, NY) scored a career-high 14 points in the game and grabbed 13 rebounds. James Morel (Woodhaven, NY) finished with 13 points, 12 rebounds and five assists.

The men will be back in action on Saturday, February 10,  in another HVIAC match-up against Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
