Warriors Bounce Back Against SUNY ESF

The Vaughn College Warriors men's basketball team hosted Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) opponent SUNY ESF on Wednesday, January 10. The Warriors entered the conference match-up coming off of a tough loss at home to Penn State University Worthington Scranton in their previous contest. The Warriors only had six available players for the game. Despite the lack of numbers, the men's basketball team competed extremely hard and were able to to defeat SUNY ESF by a final score of 71-65.

The Warriors were led by Bryan Green (Bronx, NY). Green recorded another monster double-double. He scored 36 points and grabbed a game-high 21 rebounds in the victory. This was the second game in a row that Green has scored 36 points while shooting over 65% from the field. 

Freshman guard Kermarlie Mclean (Brooklyn, NY) had a solid performance. Mclean ended the game with 21 points and three assists. James Morel (Woodhaven, NY) added 20 points, three rebounds and two assists. 

The Warriors improve their record in the HVIAC to 2-0 and overall record to 7-5. The men's basketball team will be back in action on Saturday, January 13. They will host another HVIAC opponent, Davis College. The game is scheduled to tip-off at 4:00 p.m.
