Men Fall to PSU Worthington Scranton at Home

The men's basketball team took on the visiting Penn State University Worthington Scranton Lions at Elmcor Recreation Center on Sunday, January 7. This was the first game for the Warriors after being off for two weeks. The Warriors only dressed six players for the non-conference match-up.

Vaughn College had a nine point advantage at halftime despite being short-handed. However foul trouble would hurt the Warriors in the second half. The Lions chipped away at the Warriors lead.  Unfortunately the Warriors were not able to ward off the Lions and would go on to drop their first game in the new year.

Bryan Green (Bronx, NY) had another monster performance for the men's basketball team. He fouled out of the game with 36 points and 21 rebounds in just 25 minutes of action. Kermarlie Mclean (Brooklyn, NY) finished with 21 points, three rebounds and three assists. James Morel (Woodhaven, NY)  had his best game of the season. Morales scored 20 points, and grabbed three rebounds and dished out two assists.

The Warriors will look to get back in the win column when they host Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) opponent SUNY ESF on Wednesday, January 10.
