Men Stunned by Touro College

The Warriors hosted Touro College at Elmcor Recreation Center on Tuesday, December 12. The men's basketball team had a two-game win streak entering the game. The Warriors came out extremely flat on both sides of the ball and look uninspired. The men's basketball team trailed the Touro College Tornados by 10 points at halftime. Even though the Warriors outscored their opponent in the second half they were not able to overcome the deficit. The Warriors suffered a tough 80-73 loss to Touro College. This was the first time that the men's basketball team has lost to Touro College in six match-ups.

Freshman guard Kermarlie Mclean (Brooklyn, NY) led the Warriors in scoring. He finished with 19 points, three rebounds, four steals, one assist and one block. Bryan Green (Bronx, NY) scored 18 points and pulled down a season-low seven rebounds snapping his streak of consecutive double doubles recorded at eight games.  James Morel (Woodhaven, NY) chipped in 13 points and grabbed six rebounds. Morel has reached double-digits in scoring for the past two games.

The Warriors will have one more game before the end of the semester. They will host the Culinary Institute Steels on Saturday, December 16. This will be the men's basketball team's first Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) contest this season.
