Warriors Start Season With Back-To-Back Wins

The Warriors men's basketball team played two games over the weekend to start off their 2017-18 season. On Saturday, November 11, the Warriors traveled to Webb Institute to take on the Webbies. The Warriors got out to a slow start but went on to defeat the Webbies by a final score of 86-38.

Three players scored double-figures in the Warriors win over the Webbies. Maleec Taylor (Roosevelt, NY) had a complete game with 26 points, five rebounds, five assists and five steals. Bryan Green (Bronx, NY) recorded a double-double with 25 points and 12 rebounds. Freshman guard Kermarlie Mclean (Brooklyn, NY) finished with 10 points and three assists in his first collegiate game.

The Warriors played New School on Sunday, November 12, at Elmcor Recreation Center. The Warriors had a 12 point lead over the Narwhals at halftime. They would expand their lead and go on to defeat the New School Narwhals 81-56. 

Bryan Green recorded his second double-double of the season. Green registered 26 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in the Warriors triumph over the Narwhals. Maleec Taylor dished out five assists in the first two games of the season for the first time of his collegiate career. He ended the game with 25 points and six rebounds. James Morel (Woodhaven, NY) chipped in 12 points. 

The Warriors will be back in action on Sunday, November 19, at Baruch College. They will play non-conference opponent Touro College.
