Warriors lose big to the  Panthers

On Tuesday, November 15, the men's basketball team squared off against Skyline conference opponent SUNY Purchase. The Warriors entered the game coming off a blow out victory in their season opener against New School. This was the first game of the season for the Panthers of SUNY Purchase. The Panthers started off the game going on a 16-0 run. The Warriors fell behind and were unable to recover. The Panthers would go on to defeat the Warriors by a final score of 112-77. 

For the second game  in a row the Warriors had five people score in double figures. Lamink Barr (Yonkers, NY),  Donald Tompson (Yonkers, NY),  Kevin Vanderpool (Yonkers, NY) and Michael Pena (Dumont, NJ) scored 12 points a piece. Ian Parker (Yonkers, NY) added 10 points. As a team the Warriors shot 36.1 percent from the field and 19 percent from the three point line. The Warriors high flying offense was non-existent against the Panthers. 

The Warriors haven't suffered a loss of 30 points or more  since the 2013-14 season. The men's basketball team will look to get back in the win column at Homecoming on Friday, November 18. They will face USCAA division II opponent Penn State University Lehigh Valley at Elmcor Recreation Center at 8 p.m.
