QUEENS, N.Y. - Junior guard Michael Pena (Dumont, NJ) was awarded the men's basketball player of the week by the Hudson Valley intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) after leading the Warriors to two victories over the weekend against Culinary Institute and Southern Maine Community College. Pena was an offensive juggernaut in both games leading the Warriors in points per game (ppg) in each contest. The talented shooting guard averaged just under 30 points, five rebounds, and five steals. Pena was previously named men's basketball co-player of the week by the HVIAC. With the Warriors continuing to thrive, Pena might see more athletic accolades by the HVIAC.
