QUEENS, N.Y. - The Vaughn College men's basketball team defeated Culinary Institute on Saturday, December 12. The win improves the Warriors' record to 2-0 in the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) and 5-1 overall. 

The Warriors were led by Michael Pena's (Dumont, NJ) 28 points, four rebounds, and five steals performance. Jalomar Ryan (Flushing, NY), Moises Chaucer (Bronx, NY), and Dwayne Conley (Laurelton, NY) all recorded double-doubles in the contest. Ryan poured in a career high 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Chaucer finished with 11 points and 13 rebounds. Conley added 10 points and 11 rebounds. 

Southern Maine Community College will be the next opponent for the men's basketball team. That game is scheduled to be played at the College of New Rochelle (CNR) on Sunday, December 13.
