Warriors Bested by the Lions

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, P.A. - The men's basketball traveled to Pennsylvania to take on the Penn State Schulykill Lions on Thursday, November 19. It was a faced paced, high octane game from the jump ball. Both teams came out firing on all cylinders, taking turns going on huge offensive runs.

At the break the Warriors held a two point lead. They would extend their lead to seven points early in the second half. However, turnovers in the second half allowed the Lions to score easy points in transition to get back into the game. The Lions would eventually take the lead and never look back. The Warriors had opportunities to cut the lead to single digits, but failed to convert field goals from point blank range. The Lions would go on to defeat the Warriors by a final score of 79-62.

Moises Chaucer (Bronx, NY) and Joshua Colome (Bronx, NY) led the way for the Warriors. Chaucer had a near double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds in the game. Colome hit double figures for the second game in a row. He finished with 15 points and five rebounds.

The men's basketball team will get a chance to redeem themselves on Saturday, November 21, when they host New School at Elmcor Recreation Center. The game is scheduled to tip off at 3 p.m.
